Peepeekisis Funeral Home

The Peepeekisis Funeral Home is a unique establishment located in Lorlie, Saskatchewan, around an hour northeast along the number 10 highway. The facility, spanning over 9500 square feet and custom-built, will offer a variety of services and products, including cremation, caskets, video tributes, obituary writing, and more.Read MoreThis particular funeral home will be one of the few Indigenous-owned businesses operated by the Peepeekisis Cree Nation in Canada, with a design inspired by First Nation tradition and culture. It will be open to people of all denominations, religious and non-religious, providing a place for everyone to celebrate and honor their loved ones' journey in life.
Construction is scheduled to begin in April 2025, with over 100 individuals employed during the construction phase. Once open in mid 2026, the funeral home plans to employ 10-15 full-time staff members.
