As Cree People we have always been trading for goods and services, since the time of the Fur Trades, it has always been based on the need to provide for the community. It was with this mindset that Peepeekisis Cree Developments started their journey to become a business ready entity that would provide financial stability as well as create job opportunities for the Nation.

PDL was incorporated in 2013 and is a corporate, and currently has four board members. PDL is responsible for the development of new on-reserve businesses, and partnerships that will contribute to the creation of jobs and economic sustainability on the Nation. 

PDL will support Peepeekisis’s path towards reconciliation through economic participation and empowerment. Like many Indigenous groups across Canada who have succeeded in becoming self-reliant, PDL will rapidly advance its position towards economic empowerment through participation and alignment with regional economic trends. By proactively aligning with these economic trends, we can explore opportunities together while ensuring the cultural and social prosperity of our people. Participating in these activities will ensure sustainable revenue and employment opportunities are created for Peepeekisis Cree Nation members, as well as surrounding communities.
